A provider that can't look you in the eye while discussing your current issue leaves me to believe there is a lack of sincerity and belief that this physician has your best interest at heart. I was in pain. Enough pain to prompt me to visit urgent care. The remedy for a swollen knee was the refusal to drain the fluid based on the fact he felt there wasn't enough to drain. How do we quantify that statement? Especially since the joint is so inflamed that it can't bend totally without pain. I added I experienced pain walking up 3 flights of stairs to my home.That didn't seem to prompt any concern from this person. Instead I was given a prescription for Meloxicam 15 mg. I pointed out that my current blood pressure medicine, Valsartan/HCTZ, warns against taking NSAIDs. He cavalierly responds by telling me to watch my blood pressure that when it gets to 150 then stop taking it. Who says that to a patient taking blood pressure medication?To add, there was a spot on my xray around my fibula. He asked if my sweat pants were down when xrayed. I said it was. Instead of making sure I was fine and asking to have another xray he simply said. The spot was probably the zipper. He had a smirk on his face when making that statement. Long story short, I left in pain and am currently in pain. I felt my care was based on implicit bias from this healthcare provider. Not listening, and not validating, and not caring. I've been with Endeavor Health Medical Group for 20 years and never have I felt so poorly treated.
