I felt like there wasn't much opportunity, or desire by the staff, to actually allow me describe my issue in full detail; It felt like I was trying to be matched to a diagnosis, rather than trying to be diagnosed. In reviewing my chart, I noticed that its listed that my issue goes back 10 years, but no mention that I suffered bilateral turf toe as I had mentioned, which feels like an important detail to have completely ignored. Also, something simple like my height was input as 7' rather than 70", and not caught by the staff because of how hurried they were.
Dr. Zombolo was very efficient and helpful!
Great.
I have been a patient of Dr Zombolo for years. I would never go anywhere else. He is the best in his field!
Dr, Zombolo was blunt but very honest about how to treat tailors bunions. He was very clear that much of what is shown online and all of the "supposed" treatment gadgets are of very limited value. He was very clear. The mission is to relieve the pain which is caused by callus build up on bottom of the feet and on the bunions. Which he started....Get a good pair of running shoes for everyday use, with good arch support, and do calf stretching exercises to help strengthen the muscles and tendons that keep the feet positioned correctly. Prior to my visit walking (4 miles a day) and going to Zumba 3 times a week plus cutting the grass had become so painful that I was about to give up my Zumba classes but continue to walk but with significant discomfort. During the visit he began the process of callus removal....it was a miracle. No pain walking or at Zumba. I have continued the callus control and secured the correct shoes and arch supports.
Caring team
He answered all of my questions and ordered xrays as I am considering surgery.
Dr. Zombolo is great, he is always friendly no matter how late in the day. He is overworked and many times I have waited 45 minutes to an hour to see him and he is still professional and caring. His office isn't the only one that has horrible wait time, Gurnee is also overbooked and the wait time is ridiculous and you can't call because central answering isn't in the office. Worst idea ever.
Dr. Zombolo has been excellent both diagnosing and recommending a treatment plan. I have been seeing him for years and recommending him to others. I'm also delighted when I see him recommended on nextdoor.com. Others will contribute to the discussion with rave reviews about Dr. Zombolo.
He was great! To the point & helpful
