He was nice but his finger was infected and he needed an antibiotic and that wasn't addressed. I was told at beginning of check in if his wound needed evaluation and antibiotic he would an immediate care visit first . A nurse came out to check his finger and said he just needed ortho. I needed to take him back to his Ped as there was redness around the wound and she started him on oral antibiotics. This doctor could have offered that with the amount we will likely pay for this visit.

I like that fact that there is orthopedic/sport walk-in. The waiting room wait was fine. I didn't know if they forgot about me when doctor said he was going to get the injection prepared. Will came in a few minutes later and set everything up for the injection and then left. It was just over an hour before the doctor and Will came back to do the injection.

Having a walk-in Ortho clinic where an appointment and referral were Not needed was a GREAT alternative to going to an ER, waiting to get an appointment with a specialist, or doing nothing. Please keep the service option available and accessible.

I was not scheduled for an appropriate amount of time - I explained I had multiple joints to assess when I schedule and was not allotted the time in the schedule. This resulted in the provider declining to do a full evaluation and making me come back for an additional appointment. He was also condescending when I brought it up. He eventually explained what had happened but initially was dismissive and blamed me - not his staff.

I believe that he is a very competent doctor with a very good ability to diagnose a patient's symptoms and create the best plan for recovery.

Not one person who came into the room sanitized their hands. Dr. Ellis was not through in explaining my injury and care. I asked if I should protect the area of my wrist at any time. He said a soft brace would be a good idea then asked which one I wanted. I did not know what either looked like and what would be the best option for my wrist so he sent someone in with both so I could decide. I don't feel like I needed to ask those questions and make that decision as I was trusting his knowledge. He told me to come back in two weeks but did not discuss what he would be looking for and potential future care.
