Treatment Philosophy
Alexander Glaser, M.D. is a surgeon-scientist focused on improving outcomes for patients through personalization of care and implementation of the newest techniques. Dr. Glaser completed his MD and surgical training in urology at Northwestern University. He was also previously a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health and completed an immuno-oncology research fellowship with the John P. Hanson Foundation for Cancer and Cellular Research in the Northwestern Interdepartmental Immunobiology Center.
Dr. Glaser focuses on BPH and endourology at NorthShore and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He is an NIH-funded surgeon-scientist with a R01 grant investigating enhanced implementation of patient-reported outcome measures in men with BPH. He also serves as an investigator in the Symptoms of Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction Research Network (LURN) and is involved in multiple other clinical studies in BPH and endourology.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Alex enjoys running, biking, skiing, and spending time with his two young children.
