Sleep Specialists
The NorthShore Sleep Center consists of board-certified sleep specialists covering the full spectrum of sleep conditions including sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, insomnia, pediatric and behavioral sleep medicine.
Nurses and Physician Assistant
The NorthShore Sleep Center utilizes registered nurses with additional training and a physician assistant in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep conditions. Nurses assist physicians in clinic, work with patients following their visits to implement and follow through on treatment plans, including assisting with telephone questions, medication refills, deliver test results to patients and coordinate A.W.A.K.E. and other support groups. The addition of nursing to our treatment team represents a standard of care rarely seen in a sleep lab and demonstrates NorthShore Sleep Center's commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
Sleep Technologists
Sleep Technologists perform diagnostic procedures in the NorthShore Sleep Centers. Technologists are trained in Polysomnography testing, CPAP and oral device titration, and MSLT/MWT. A CPAP Clinic to decrease anxiety and increase compliance with CPAP treatment is coordinated by a Registered Sleep Technologist.
