Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Program hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:30pm
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a group-focused, evidence-based program that provides safety and structure for the young adult patient during a time of crisis. The average length of stay in PHP is 7-10 days.
PHP focuses on teaching the participant about his or her specific triggers, emotional reactions, coping skills, life skills, communication strategies, and stress management skills. The goals in PHP are to generate perspective about the presenting crisis, develop a better understanding of cognitive and emotional reactions to triggers, and leave the program with realistic coping skills to specifically address triggers.
Family involvement is important to the treatment process. Through weekly family sessions, our therapists educate family members of treatment goals and assist them in engaging the young adult patient in a supportive manner at home.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Program hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:00am-12:30pm
IOP is a group-focused, evidence-based program that has similar features as PHP. The primary difference is that the young adult is functioning at a level where they are able to manage daily activities and responsibilities; however, they find themselves struggling with ongoing mental health symptoms and are in need of the structure and clinical support that programming offers. The average length of stay in IOP is 2-4 weeks.
Aftercare Group
Program hours: Tuesdays 10:00am-11:00am
The aftercare group is ongoing support for young adults who have completed the PHP and/or IOP program (s). Young adults will have the opportunity to continue to process and receive support for ongoing stressors as they have resumed their daily activities.
To schedule a young adult assessment, please call Lauren Levine, LCSW at 847.400-8432. You will be scheduled for an initial evaluation with one of our clinicians to determine clinical need and appropriate level of care.
