Acupuncture
For over 2,000 years acupuncture has been used to encourage healing. It is recognized by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and is incorporated into a large number of hospital organizations throughout the country and around the globe. Acupuncture uses very fine, sterilized, disposable needles gently inserted at specific body points to help restore the body’s innate ability to find balance. The practitioner focuses on your specific needs as a recovering COVID-19 patient as we work within the hospital system as a team. Studies are underway addressing the effectiveness of acupuncture to restore sense of taste and smell. In addition, acupuncture has long been used to address lingering fatigue, inflammation and stressors following long term illnesses.
