NorthShore's Department of Orthopaedics is dedicated to training the next generation of leaders in orthopaedic medicine, and our team plays a key role in training University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine residents and fellows.
We are a recognized leader in motor skills education and have state-of-the-art technology and resources including virtual reality simulators and the Grainger Center for Simulation and Innovation (GCSI).
The program has a rich history of academic excellence based on the pioneering leadership of Howard Sweeney, MD. The orthopaedics team pursues research and ongoing education across its subspecialties and many of our physicians are active in regional and national advocacy and academic organizations.
