As NorthShore University HealthSystem observes Veteran’s Day on Thursday, Nov. 11, we salute our many veteran team members including Leslie McGovern, Director of Clinical Engineering at NorthWest Community Healthcare (pictured below). Thank you for your service to our country and our patients.

McGovern served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S., South Korea and Qatar. "My favorite memory was riding in an F-15E fighter jet on a beautiful day over snow-capped mountains in Utah during an incentive flight. I truly felt the words of our national anthem, ‘the land of the free and the home of the brave,'" she noted.
