NorthShore’s online source for timely health and wellness news, inspiring patient stories and tips to lead a healthy life.

The response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for patients and their families, and for the NorthShore clinicians and staff members who have treated or supported them.
On Oct. 7, the Evanston Hospital Nursing Council presented a COVID memorial tree that honors patients and families and recognizes the Evanston Hospital team during the pandemic.
Employees gathered at the circle drive outside of Evanston Hospital's main entrance for the presentation. At the end of the ceremony, caregivers gathered together to shovel soil around the tree like the repairing of a wound.
