Looking for a guilt-free snack while you’re sitting on the couch watching your favorite show? These fried dill pickle chips are the perfect combination of fried food and a healthier low-fat snack. By using an Air fryer, your chips will turn out crispy and delicious. Air fryers require less oil, making them generally healthier than their oil-immersed counterparts. They can cut calories and fat content.

You won’t be able to get over how crispy they will turn out in an Air fryer. They are better than baking them which takes twice as long after pre-heating the oven. This five-ingredient appetizer makes your pickles extra crunchy, and it's sure to satisfy your salty cravings!

Dill Pickle Chips

Ingredients:

  • 32 oz. jar of whole large dill pickles
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • ¼ tsp dried dill week

Directions:

  1. Slice the large pickles diagonally into ¼” thick slices. Place between layers of paper towels to remove as much liquid and pat dry.
  2. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs until smooth. In a resealable bag, add the Panko bread crumbs, Parmesan and dill weed and shake until well combined.
  3. In batches of 4-5 pieces, dip the pickle slices into the egg mixture, being sure to remove any excess egg and then toss in the Panko mixture.
  4. Add half of the coated pickle chips into the Air fryer and bake for 8-10 minutes on the highest temperature.
  5. Remove from the Air fryer and add the remaining pickle chips and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately with a zesty low-fat ranch for dipping.
  7. NOTE: If you own a larger XL Air fryer, you can cook all the chips in one batch.
