Immunizations are important at all ages—for children, adolescents and adults—to prevent various illnesses and diseases. While children, especially infants, have a more robust vaccine schedule, adults also need to ensure that they are up-to-date on their immunizations.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians and many other regarded health organizations recommend beginning immunizations as an infant to best protect yourself and others from infectious disease. It is also recommended that everyone six months of age and older get vaccinated each flu season to help further protect and prevent contracting the virus and spreading it to others.
