Dermatology

Special Message:
Our highest priority is the health and safety of the communities we serve. To continue to meet your healthcare needs, our telemedicine visits offer real-time video connection between you and your dermatologist and are billed to your insurance like a regular office visit. Send us a NorthShoreConnect message or request an appointment on NorthShore.org to schedule your telehealth visit today!

Our dermatologic surgery unit offers telehealth visits and continues to perform skin cancer surgery as needed in a safe, outpatient setting. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Menaker or Dr. Levy, please contact the office via NorthShoreConnect message, or call the surgical care team at 847.663.8062.

Comprehensive Care

Our Dermatology Division has board-certified dermatologists, specializing in each aspect of dermatology and all conditions relating to the hair, skin and nails. Along with providing a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, we aim to offer you care in a location that is convenient to you and that minimizes the need for you to travel between offices.

Our adult and pediatric programs include:

Dr. Stephanie Mehlis

Advanced Treatment

By using the latest advances in both surgical and non-surgical techniques, our team of specialists are able to offer patients effective cosmetic and medical care. Along with minimally invasive surgery to treat cancerous skin cells, we are able to use phototherapy, or a controlled dose of ultraviolet light, to reduce the appearance of conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo. Whether you are looking to halt hair loss or treat an ongoing skin condition, we can provide a care plan personalized to you.

Innovative Research

Many of our dermatologists contribute to the field as faculty members at the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. The Department of Dermatology also contains a Clinical Trials Unit that has been involved in numerous research trials over the years, with current studies for psoriasis examining current and new therapies to better identify and personalize the treatment process for our patients.

This includes the Psoriasis Registry, which focuses on comparing the results of current therapies to determine which options are most beneficial to psoriasis patients, while also expanding studies to potentially new treatments. If you are interested in participating, please contact 847.663.8530.
