Forward Together Healthy Food Drive

Join us as we work to address food insecurity with community partners across our NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health service area. At each of the participating locations, we will be collecting non-perishable donations to address the specific need in the community we serve together. Please check out the information below about suggested donations and exact locations. You can also participate by making a financial donation directly to the organization in your community.


Glenbrook Hospital

St. James Food Pantry

Glenbrook Hospital has partnered with the Wheeling Township Food Pantry in Arlington Heights.  They are requesting donations of:

  • Cereal
  • Condiments
  • Canned Fruit/Vegetables
  • Juice
  • Protein - Beef Stew/Tuna/Salmon
  • Ravioli
  • Soup – Hearty or Chunky (to be a meal on its own)
  • $15 Aldi gift card - Drop off gift card at Administration
  • $15 Walmart gift card - Drop off gift card at Administration

Donations can be dropped off at the Ambulatory Care Center entrance, or the Atrium Café. Glenbrook Hospital is located at:

Highland Park Hospital

St. James Food Pantry

Highland Park Hospital has partnered with the St. James Food Pantry in Highwood.  They are requesting donations of:

  • Diapers in sizes 4, 5, and 6
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Rice
  • Dry or canned black beans /pinto beans
  • Canned tuna
  • Pancake Mix

Or you can make a monetary donation directly.

Donate to the St. James Food Pantry

Donations can be dropped off at the cafeteria and the employee entrance. Highland Park Hospital is located at:

Skokie Hospital

Niles Food Pantry

Skokie Hospital has partnered with the Niles Township Food Pantry in Niles. They are requesting donations of:

  • Dried or canned beans
  • Nut butters
  • Dried fruits or vegetables
  • Canned fish and poultry
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Grains
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Jerky, granola and protein bars
  • Freeze dried fruits and vegetables
  • Shelf stable milk/nondairy milk

Or you can make a monetary donation directly.

Donate to the Niles Township Food Pantry

Donations can be dropped off at the Main hospital lobby, the Medical Office Building (9669 Kenton Ave.) lobby and the Ambulatory Care Center. Skokie Hospital is located at:

Evanston Hospital

Connections for the Homeless

Evanston Hospital has partnered with Connections for the Homeless in Evanston. They are requesting donations of:

  • Whole grains/pastas
  • Low-sodium pasta sauce
  • Canned meals (low-sodium ravioli, beef stew, beefaroni)
  • Soup in a cup
  • Canned fruit
  • Individually packaged snacks
  • Individual cartons of milk
  • Protein bars

Or you can make a monetary donation directly.

Donate to Connections for the Homeless

Donations can be dropped off at the Women’s Hospital lobby and the cafeteria. Evanston Hospital is located at:
