Personal Interests
Dr. Tarlton joined NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois as the Director of Molecular Microbiology and Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology in 2023. Her research and clinical interests include antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial susceptibility testing; Gram-negative bacteria including ESBL-producers and CP-CRE; development and evaluation of rapid diagnostic tests, including molecular tests, for pathogen identification and resistance detection; and laboratory workflow evaluation and improvement.
