NorthShore University HealthSystem hosts various support groups for individuals coping with chronic illness or loss, for parents and for caregivers. Most meet monthly. For specific meeting dates and times or for more information, visit our Calendar of Events.

  • Bereaved parents (for parents who have suffered the loss of a child over age one) 
  • Perinatal Loss (for parents who have experienced ectopic pregnancy, miscarraige, stillbirth or death of a newborn) 
  • Prenatal Decisions (for parents who have made difficult decisions to terminate a pregnancy due to genetic abnormalities or incompatibility with life)

NorthShore University HealthSystem Hospice Sponsors Three Grief Support GroupsGroups are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. The groups are held at the NorthShore University HealthSystem Hospice office, 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie, Illinois. The building is handicap accessible and convenient parking is available. For specific dates or to pre-register, please call Thom Dennis, Berevement Services Coordinator, at 847.982.4364.
